Herring-Clarke School

Siobhan Herring-Clarke established the Herring-Clarke School of Irish Dancing when she decided to retire from competitive dancing after her final competition at the World Irish Dancing Championships in Galway.  After a successful competitive dancing career with the Lally School of Irish Dancing, Siobhan decided that it was her turn to pass on to a new generation what she herself had loved for many years.

The Herring-Clarke School of Irish Dancing currently holds classes in the Wigan and Blackburn areas.  All classes are taught by Siobhan, along with assistance from dedicated senior dancers.  Classes are available for girls and boys aged 4 upwards.  Classes at the school are available for competitive and non-competitive dancers and all dancers are encouraged to participate in choreographed displays at social events as well as Class & Open competitions.  The Herring-Clarke School currently has dancers competing at local and regional championships as well as major championships including The World Championships of Irish Dancing.

The Herring-Clarke School of Irish Dancing holds annual Class Competitions (Feisanna) at venues in Wigan & Blackburn.  During May each year the Blackburn Open Feis is held; this annual event attracts competitive dancers & teachers from all regions within the UK & Ireland.
